It is rainy and cold today and I took each of my family to a working place, school, and station by car. I'm going to pick up them in the evening. I thought that yesterday was the last day of the month and wrote 3 major topics in this month on this blog of yesterday. But the blog of yesterday is not shown on the blog list, so I write again.

-Got a book with signature by a famous professor and a writer
-Prayer at the grave in my hometown on a New Year Holiday

My Former Boss
It was fine today and I was busy at the office.
My former boss happened to come to the office and talked around one hour.
He was in charge of our wedding ceremony 28 years before and it is around ten years since I met him last time. He looks younger than his age.

Book with a signature
It was cold today and I went to Yurakucho with my wife to joined with a seminar.
We took a lunch at a new building near the station. The seminar was useful and fortunately I got a book with a signature by the lecturer. I took the lesson of the lecturer around 30 years before.

Final Report
The rain from last night was stopped before noon and it was warm today.
But it will be cold tomorrow due to weather forecast. I reviewed the draft final manual of my job and completed. I arranged folders and sub-folders for electronic files.

Late New Year Party
It began to rain in the evening and I stayed at the office all day long.
It was late for a new year drinking party, but we enjoyed conversations about jobs abroad.
More than 20 years before, we were members of a study team for the development of Thailand.

Busy Day
It was fine and ordinary weather in winter today.
I was busy today and joined with two meetings and a lecture and searched for a temporary cad operator. A cad operator working many years will take one week holiday next week and we have to find a temporary staff. Fortunately we could arrange from one company.

Seminar for Qualification
It was cloudy and I went to Tokyo to attend to a seminar for qualification for civil engineering.
It is necessary to attend the seminar every five years to know the current information. The seminar is rarely held on Sunday, but it was held on today. There are many items to learn, but only key points are explained due to limited hours.

It was fine today and I spent today as planned.
I was alone until 2:00 pm and I revised my CV and career sheet.
Then I went a library and borrowed ten books. I prepared for the reimbursement of tax due to high medical cost in last year. We enjoyed Hally Potter on TV in the night.

Training for Disaster
It was fine and calm today and I joined with a training for the disaster.
The training were held at several places and I joined with the training held by Chiyoda Municipality at the Yotsuya Station. Most of attendants are seniors and company staffs.

Seminar with my Wife
It was cold due to north wind and I was out from my office all day long.
I attended a meeting of a WG in the morning and joined with a seminar on a giant earthquake expected at the northern part of Tokyo Bay. I took lunch with my wife and joined a seminar.
The seminar was held by a local university and opened to citizens and the city hall is crowed.

Encounter an Acquaintance
It was fine and cold today and I joined with a seminar on environment.
I happened to meet an acquaintance there and twenty years have passed since I met him last time. We changed name cards and he is a manager of planning section of one local municipality.

Cold Rainy Day
It was very cold and rainy today and there was no snow in Tokyo.
I was preparing reports by a computer all day long and become very tired.

Fear of Snow
It was fine, but cold today and stayed at the office all day long.
According to the weather forecast, it will snow tomorrow. I and my sons asked my wife to send us to the railway station and the school in case of snow. We changed tires for studless, so we are not worry about the snow.

It was fine today and I ate lunch with my ex-boss.
Today is the 7th of Jan. and many people eat food including 7 grasses.
I bought two forms of CV and was taken photos for the form. Our office is near the station and it is very convenient for shopping.

2nd Drinking Party
It was fine and calm today and I worked at the office all day long.
Around one-third of members of our department began to work from today, so we hold the 2nd drinking party at the office after working.

First Working Day
It was fine and calm today and I went to my office.
Most companies start from today and I rode on crowded trains.
We had a drinking party in the office and I drunk much beer. I took a rest at a coffee shop with my good friend on the way to home. Many new year postal cards arrived today.

Prayer
It is fine today and the last day of new year holidays.
I went and worship at the Hikawa Shrine, the oldest and the biggest near my home, with my wife and the youngest son. It was not crowded. One reason is the 4th and many Japanese don't like number 4. This year is an unlucky age for me and the second son, so we got a purification ceremony and prayed for the sound health of family members.
"Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration"

There are books, magazines, direct mail , etc which are not read by me, so I checked some of them. My soft ware for address is old version and some postal codes are different from present one, so I managed to make new files.

Pray for Grave
It is fine today and we went my home town to pray for the grave.
It is the first time to visit the grave at the beginning of new year and all of my family could join.
We could see Mt. Fuji on the way and also see Mt.Akagi. I'm glad to pray today.

A Happy New Year
It is the first day of new year and fine today.
I read new year greeting cards and I answered some cards. I bought the new printer last month and it is easy to print.

-Finding a new job after retirement
